Relationship between high healing degree and change of muscle hardness of shoulders suggested.
MOA Health Science Center Research Report Vol. 28 was published.
[Original]*1 “Evaluation of healing of complementary alternative medicine using the Nikkei version of “healing” evaluations, and relationship between the degree of healing and muscle hardness of shoulders” by Seiya Uchida, Senior Researcher; and Dr. Hiroshi Katamura of the MOA New Takanawa Clinic, Gyokusenkai (Medical Asset). In addition, 23 subjects experienced 4 types of health methods (yoga, massage, Okada Purifying Therapy, rest) once a month in a random order, and studied the relationship between the degree of healing and muscle hardness of shoulders.
As a result, it was stated that Yoga, massage, and the Okada Purifying Therapy had a significantly higher psychological healing effect from rest, and that the higher their psychological healing effects were, the muscle hardness of the shoulders was softer.
In addition, the possibility of this new approach had been shown by applying “healing” evaluations, which originally evaluated healing of art appreciation, to the objective evaluation of healing effects of complementary alternative medicine.
In addition, a research report titled “Okada Health and Wellness Program and Integrative Medicine in Japan” by Dr. Kiyoshi Suzuki et al. comprehensively summarizes the role of the Okada Health and Wellness Program in integrative medicine in Japan, and shows that a social model focusing on the local residents and the community as a unique approach of Japan is improving ability to cope with disasters and the aging society.
In addition, a research report titled “Healing of natural scenery using semi-immersive VR in the outpatient waiting room of an urban clinic” by Dr. Korehiko Shiba, Director of the MOA Nagoya Clinic, Gyokusenkai (Medical Asset) et.al. is published.
