Future Medical Care and Community Enrichment Symposium

The “Future Medical Care and Community Enrichment Symposium” was held at a hotel in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture on November 10, 2019. About 220 people from each prefecture of Shikoku, including medical and administrative officials and citizens, participated.
 
Lectures were presented by Shinzo Kato, professor of the Faculty of Nursing Medical Care of Keio University; and Kiyoshi Suzuki, president of MOA Health Science Foundation. The need for spiritual care by communities, including family members and friends, and the activities to create healthy individuals and communities promoted by MOA were reported. It reaffirmed the importance of spirituality in future medical care and community enrichment.
 
The second part of the symposium was held in a round-table conference style with medical professionals and government officials from each prefecture of Shikoku participating. They talked about the challenges in promoting home health care and comprehensive community care.
