[Diagnosed with lupus]

I wasn’t been feeling well since May 2005. I couldn’t get up in the morning because I had a fever and felt tired. My face turned black like a sunburn, and my skin was so rough that I was absent from school for a while. After about a week, rashes began to appear on my face and lips. I went to the hospital with my mother on May 12 because the symptoms on my body got worse.
As a result of the blood test and urine test, I was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus, which is a kind of collagen disease. My mother seemed to expect me to have lupus. My mother’s aunt died of lupus when she was young. Her grandfather and cousin also had lupus. When I heard that story, I asked my mother, “Am I going to die?” My mother encouraged me by telling me that “Now, 90% of people can survive with medicines. Some people live without medicines.”
And from this day, the days of facing illness began.

[Receiving Okada Purifying Therapy]

In May 2005, I went to the MOA Center for the first time with my mother to receive Purifying Therapy.
My mother encountered with MOA in April. My mother used to swim a lot and her right ear started to hurt, probably because she was infected with something. Then, on April 29, an acquaintance introduced her to a health promotion seminar at the MOA Center. When she participated and received Purifying Therapy, the pain disappeared. Two weeks later, the pain disappeared completely. Through this experience, my mother became a member of MOA and was able to perform Purifying Therapy.
I received Purifying Therapy at the MOA Center, arranged flowers and enjoyed the Nature Farming method produced tea. I also received Purifying Therapy from my mother at home. I received Purifying Therapy mainly to the heated areas on my back, shoulders, and head. My mother seemed to learn the importance of diet while experiencing the Okada Health and Wellness Program. She began to prepare foods using plenty of natural food ingredients.

[Events in the second week of fighting the illness]

It was on May 23, when I had my third examination at the hospital. My doctor was surprised by my changes. This is because the test results indicated the improvements of my kidney and liver functions. Hemoglobin, platelets, and white blood cells also returned to normal. Also, my face was clean. It was said that lupus may cause cerebral infarction. However, for me, as a result of antibody tests, my parents were told that there was no possibility of causing blood coagulation disorders. My parents were very pleased.
I have been taking steroids (prednisolone). My doctor said it was the result of medication. However, my kidney specialists informed us that normally medicine does not show its effects until more than 7 months to a year. It’s only been two weeks since I started taking the medicine.
Our family has begun to adopt the Okada Health and Wellness Program even more.
Our diet has improved, and my father and younger brothers have begun to enjoy art, flowers, and Purifying Therapy. The lifestyle of our family has changed.
As I attended the MOA Center, I became more aware of beauty. I wrote a thank you note to all the volunteers at the MOA Center. I drew a picture of a flower on the card and spelled a word of gratitude.
My parents were so happy with my improvements that they made a monetary donation to develop the enterprises of MOA.

[Skin discoloration is getting better]

On June 14, I was told that my fourth test was even better. Blood tests showed that anti-ds-DNA antibody levels dropped from the previous 40 IU / ml to half 20 IU / ml. The functions of my kidneys and liver also improved. In the previous test, prednisolone was reduced from 40 mg to 35 mg, but this time it was able to be reduced to 30 mg.
The discoloration of the skin on my face has also improved. Even at school (summer school), I was able to get a high score of 97%, A +. I think this is also because my body got well and I was able to make an effort. My mother looks very happy because I began to help with housework.
I continued to receive Purifying Therapy. The number of times I receive it from my mother at home has also increased. In total, I have been receiving it for about two hours a day.
Around this time, I had migraine headaches for about two weeks, but when I attended a health promotion seminar held for two days at the MOA Center and received Purifying Therapy, the pain disappeared. I was pleased with this change and wanted to treat my family and friends, so I joined MOA on June 19.

[Family doctors say that I am heading for improvement]

On July 12, when the blood test on July 8 came out, I visited a family doctor. The doctors looked at the test numbers and said there were significant results towards improving lupus. My family was also happy.
And I got permission to play soccer and tennis, which I started when I was 5 years old. At first I could only do a few minutes, but now I can exercise longer day by day. I had discolored skin on my cheeks that looked like a butterfly, but it was getting better and better. Irregular menstruation has improved by this time.
I also told my family doctor about Purifying Therapy. It seemed to be effective, and I was told by my family doctor that I should continue to receive it.
At the end of July, I noticed that my hair fell off easily. I immediately contacted my doctor with my mother and told her about my symptoms, but unexpected words came back. My doctor told me to stop using another drug (Plakenil). Patients with lupus usually have to take the medicine for the rest of their lives.
After I stopped taking the medicine, my hair was less likely to fall off, and new hair was growing. I was able to reduce prednisolone, but I think it’s a good trend to be able to stop plakenil this time. This is a step-by-step process, but the fact that I am able to live a life that does not require medicine has given me hope that I will be able to overcome my illness.

[Lupus improves in three months]

I was in good physical condition in August; and as a result of a blood test, the anti-ds-DNA antibody value was 10 IU / ml or less. The skin on my face improved dramatically as the white blood cells stopped attacking my body. The doctor in charge said, “You are showing a model recovery as an autoimmune patient.” I told him that I was experiencing the Okada Health and Wellness Program and enjoyed Purifying Therapy, flowers and tea. Doctors said that tea ceremony is effective as an antioxidant in reducing inflammation. He was also impressed by the support group of mine from MOA.
The new semester started the following week, and I was able to participate in sports (soccer, tennis) for the first time in a while. Two years later, in 2007, I participated in a tennis tournament and advanced to the State of Hawaii Tournament, where I was able to achieve good results.
Three months after I started receiving Purifying Therapy from May 2005, I was able to get out of the suffering of lupus. Even now, I am examined once a month and continue to take medicines, but I receive Purifying Therapy every day from my family and the MOA staff who have supported me. I am energetically attending school.
