〔Notes by L.U.〕

I had the experience of finding happiness after receiving Purifying Therapy, which is a core practice of the Okada Health and Wellness Program, at the Chile MOA Center. Since then, as a coordinator at the MOA Center, I have been accepting patients and setting up appointments with the staff in charge of each area of the Okada Health and Wellness Program. At the same time, I also volunteer as a therapist of Purifying Therapy as I received my Purifying Therapy certification.
The Center incorporates the idea of Integrative Medicine. While patients receive treatment, I am working on their continuous care visits while desiring that they incorporate the Okada Health and Wellness Program in their daily lives.
For example, during the Arts and Culture Program, patients make flower arrangements. I recommend to them to take the flowers home and rearrange them at home or use the arrangement as a gift. The majority of the patients, who didn’t have a flower background, experienced a change as they associated with the flowers often. Some have said to me, “My lifestyle has changed a little.” or “I cannot think of my life without flowers.” I have seen patients, who seemed tired, change through the Arts and Culture Program.
Many patients commented that their conditions improved after receiving Purifying Therapy two to four times a week.
I also introduce the contents of the textbook for the therapists to help the patients understand the concept of MOA. I explain to the patients that Purifying Therapy therapists hold “a great desire to save as many people as possible” as a fundamental in their attitude. The therapists administer Purifying Therapy to patients with altruistic love for making people happy. Patients find their purpose in life by understanding this way of thinking and reconsidering their mind based on “altruistic love” and “gratitude.”
Some patients guide their family and friends to the Center, saying, “I want them to experience it.” I am very happy to see patients become as happy as I am through the Okada Health and Wellness Program. I then feel grateful every day by thinking how grateful I am to volunteer as a therapist.
A number of patients are referred to the Center from a cancer hospital where Dr. K, the medical director of the Chile MOA Center, works. I want to share the joy of YA.

〔Comments from Y.A. (46 years old, female)〕

In May 2009, I found an abnormality in my body when I gave birth to a child by Caesarean section surgery. On June 25, I was informed that I had bile duct cancer based on the results of a biopsy taken at the cancer hospital.
At present, I was instructed rest at home because he I was not physically fit to start chemotherapy. When I consulted with Dr. K, who I trusted for a second opinion, I was introduced to the Chile MOA Center.
I visited the Center for the first time on June 29. The therapy room and the corridor were covered with glass and comfortable with sunlight. The Japanese-style courtyard with autumn leaves and lanterns was beautiful. The Center was such a calming place.
After that, I received several sessions of Purifying Therapy. The pain in my back and pelvis that had hurt from the Caesarean section surgery was considerably relieved. It was quite painful when I initially visited the Center, but after a week or two, the pain gradually disappeared. Today, I can hardly feel it.
The doctors, staff, and volunteer therapists at the Center were all polite and showed so much concern for the patients. Thus, I was also mentally healed. At first, I only visited about once a week. However, from the end of July, I started visiting almost every day.
By October, with the permission of Dr. K, I was strong enough to start aerobics. I recovered enough to also start chemotherapy. Exercise is very good for me. As I got used to it, I was breathing easily and my body felt lighter.
Both my mind and body have improved. I also sensed satisfaction in my life. I think Purifying Therapy is helping my treatment. I feel that my metabolism has improved and my body’s function is increasing.
In the Arts and Culture Program, I experienced ikebana, tea ceremony, ceramics, and painting. Ikebana was particularly impressive. I wasn’t very interested in flowers before; but as I continued to experience ikebana, my heart was healed. The feeling of familiarity with the flowers has also come to me. I felt like they are talking to me.
In October, after receiving two doses of chemotherapy, I underwent a radiographic examination with a scanner. I was told that the cancer had stopped progressing and that some tumors had become smaller. When I told Dr. K, she said, “Normally, it takes four treatments of chemotherapy. It’s a great result.”
I was very happy. There is hope that if I continue receiving treatment, I will get better and I can continue to live. My body is in such a good condition that I don’t think I’m sick. I don’t have to worry about it like before so I can positively continue with my treatment.
I think that this result is due to the effect of the Okada Health and Wellness Program. I would like to continue to receive Purifying Therapy and the Arts and Culture Program.
