After the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Japanese people are trying to restore their connections and bonding. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, our consciousness toward family, workplace and community are dramatically changing.
In a research 1 finding, 49.9% signify families and 39.3% signify society and its connection and/or bonding more than the past.
In recent years, the way we connect has changed along with our awareness. As society changes, it has become easier to choose from a variety of ways to connect, including face-to-face, online, and a combination of both. Many things will continue to significantly change the way we connect.
However, the warmth that comes from connection and the desire for it will remain the same no matter what era. This is because we humans, who live our lives influenced by various things, are born with the desire to connect with others, nature, and other things.
The MOA Healthy Life Network, a volunteer group that implements Okada Health and Wellness Program in each community and works on healthy people, family, and community enrichment, is another way to connect with people.

Mini experience story
A friend of mine, the mother of my child’s kindergarten friend, (AKA Mom Friend) told me about the MOA Healthy Life Network. The people of the Network I met were from a wide range of ages, from their 30s to their 90s. I felt comfortable living here where I recently moved because everyone was concerned about other people’s happiness, and I no longer had the anxiety I previously felt. When I felt unwell, everyone came to me to administer Purifying Therapy, which is a part of the Okada Health and Wellness Program, as well as bringing me natural food dishes. I was moved by their warmth and compassion, and I wanted to be like them.
