〔Husband’s emergency hospitalization〕

From around November 2008, my husband (77 years old) seemed to be tired from a cold. At the end of November, his fever suddenly increased, and on December 1, he became immobile. A friend of mine came to visit me and said, “You should call an ambulance,” so I called and my husband was taken to the nearby M Hospital.
He was diagnosed with legionellosis and dehydration by a doctor in the emergency room and was hospitalized. At that time, he had a fever of 40 degrees and had sepsis.
I called our eldest son, who lives near Los Angeles, and our second son, who lives in New York, and told them about my husband’s condition. Our second son came to visit him on December 4. When my husband was chatting with our second son, he suddenly complained to the doctor that he was suffocating and asked him to put on an oxygen mask. However, a few hours later, a ventilator was inserted and he was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. He then fell into a coma for about a week.
At M Hospital’s intensive care unit, my husband’s condition was not treatable so he was transferred to the intensive care unit of a university hospital on December 10. At this time, the doctor at M Hospital told me to be prepared for my husband’s death, and my heart sank.

〔“You shouldn’t take resuscitative measures next time”〕

At the end of 2008, about two weeks after he was transferred to another hospital, a doctor wanted to talk to our family, so my two sons, a best friend of mine and I attended. An explanation was given to us by a doctor who specializes in relieving the pain of end-of-life patients. My husband’s heart stopped once after he was transferred, and I was told, “The next time his heart stops, you shouldn’t have him take resuscitation.” Our family did not consent. Our eldest son said, “My father still has the power and desire to live.” At this time, my husband was unconscious, but we thought it was because of the strong anesthetic.
In 2009, my husband’s condition was getting better and worse. One day his ventilator was removed and turned into an oxygen mask and another day he regained his consciousness; but due to a high fever, he would be using the ventilator again. His condition was going back and forth. Around mid-February, the doctor once again said, “He won’t get any better, but I’ll take care of it until the end, so be prepared.”

〔Comment from the second son〕

When I heard from my mother about my father’s condition, I didn’t think it was so bad; but when I went to the hospital, I found that his symptoms had progressed considerably, and I was very worried.
I also accompanied my father all day long until late at night with my mother. Meanwhile, my father’s older sisters, MOA staff and members came to visit him one after another, and admnistered Okada Purifying Therapy. My father was in a coma and was unconscious, but I was very surprised to see that his blood pressure, pulse, and body temperature changed during Purifying Therapy and were approaching normal values on the monitor.
If I can help my father by performing Purifying Therapy, I wanted to get a treatment qualification and begin administering to my father. My mother contacted the MOA staff and I was able to fulfill that wish on December 7.
After that, I went to the hospital every day and administered Purifying Therapy to him for about 6 to 8 hours, mainly treating his kidneys and lungs. Not only did I not want my father to die, but my main focus was to leave life and death to heaven and do my best.
My older brother (Mr. N’s eldest son), who is a chiropractor, also felt the effect of Purifying Therapy and wanted to help, so he obtained a treatment qualification on March 20 and began to administer Purifying Therapy to his father.

〔Signs of recovery〕

My husband’s medical condition had progressed and returned to worse many times, but it has begun to calm down a lot since the beginning of March. The nurses in the intensive care unit also seemed surprised that my husband was still alive.
He had been in the intensive care unit of a university hospital for a long time, so he was forced to transfer to another hospital near our home on March 13.
After moving to this hospital and continuing treatment for about a month, he was able to spend the day without a respiratory system, and while on the bed, his physical therapy began in the morning and afternoon. My husband had been bedridden for a long time for the past three months, had no strength and had lost about 15 kilograms, so at first he was very weak.
Even so, he repeated physical therapy and started to get up from bed and rehabilitate from the middle of April. The nurses, who were watching the condition of my husband, were surprised and pleased with the smooth recovery.
He moved to the rehabilitation center on June 1. He used a walker to walk with the help from others at the previous hospital, but after coming to this rehabilitation center, he was able to go out to the garden and sunbathe outdoors by himself for two to three hours while using a walker. He still uses a tube to his stomach for digestion, but now he is able to take liquid food by mouth.

〔Return home〕

After being hospitalized at three hospitals and a rehabilitation center for about eight months, my husband was able to return home for the first time on July 25.
Our second son has been in Los Angeles for the last eight months and has been providing daily care and Purifying Therapy for his father during his hospitalization. Even after my husband got home, our second son helped him get used to the new environment. My husband continued to train at home with the exercises he learned from a physical therapist at the hospital and took a walk every day to improve his fitness thanks to our second son.
Even after our second son returned to New York on August 16, the MOA staff and members of the Healthy Life Network came to visit us and continued the Purifying Therapy.
In my husband’s long hospital stay, I experienced many expectations and disappointments. While he was in the hospital, his doctor told me to be prepared for his death three times; but in addition to our two sons, the MOA staff and the members of the Healthy Life Network gave me daily Purifying Therapy and encouraged me. They also supported me with healthy meals. I am filled with gratitude.
The fact that my husband has survived many crises and was helped by Western medicine using advanced technology, I also think that the power of Purifying Therapy also worked for him.
I stayed with my husband for a long time every day, and when his symptoms worsened, I would experience his positive change through my practice of Purifying Therapy. While I was feeling anxious, I was relieved by receiving Purifying Therapy from my family, MOA staff, and members from the Healthy Life Network every day.
Today, when I see my husband waking up in the morning, walking to the bathroom, opening the front door to get the newspaper, using a computer, playing Sudoku and puzzles, I am really grateful to all the people who helped him.

〔Comments from Mr. N’s family doctor W〕

His wife reported on the progress from the time of her husband’s illness to the time he was hospitalized. At the end of December 2008, I went to visit him in the intensive care unit. I was worried when I saw him in a debilitated state because he was dependent on a ventilator. The longer you rely on the ventilator, the less likely you are to leave the ventilator.
When I went to visit him again in March, the ventilator tube was still attached, but he seemed to be doing much better than before. Then, in August, when I finally learned that he went home, I visited him there. I was surprised to see him relaxing on the hospital bed in the living room. When he was in the intensive care unit, his memory tended to be interrupted, but overall his memory and mental strength were not weakened. His physical strength was much weaker than before, but he wasn’t inconvenienced in moving around in the house or around him.
After administering Purifying Therapy to him, I invited him for a walk. As he walked with a cane, I pushed a wheelchair behind him to accompany him as a precaution, but even as we walked about three blocks, he didn’t have to use a wheelchair.
It seems like a miracle that the he has survived many crises and recovered to this point. I am convinced that such miraculous results would not have been obtained without advanced medical care; however, Purifying Therapy and its healing power of the absolute energy was clearly validated in my opinion after seeing his life today.
